Robin is a travel-inspired writer, photographer and artist who aspires to take others along on her extended global journeys through her work. With roots on the east coast and in Laguna, Robin’s story may sound familiar. She played by all the rules throughout her life. Perfect attendance in elementary school. Assumed she got into college on her extensive extra-curricular activities. Worked 16 loyal and fulfilling years for the same company in corporate America. Amazing friends. Loving family. All good, right?
Right! Which is exactly why it was time to shake things up. She left her job in 2012 without having a new one, not knowing where her next paycheck would come from, and listened to her gut. And her gut aches for adventure. She booked a remote flat for a month in the beautiful Bernese Oberland in Switzerland, hiked and trotti biked the Alps, ingested an embarrassing amount of cheese, and never looked back.
All of Robin’s work is solely derived and inspired by her travels. A picture is worth a thousand words but, in combination with storytelling in her blog, she aspires to take you there; to share the everyday, unpretentious, wondrous worldly experiences with you through fresh eyes. Aside from proudly sharing her photography and art back in Laguna at Mystic Arts Gallery and local art shows, Robin is a contributor to the Huffington Post and has been featured by such others as Havas PR, Little Passports, and Solo Travel Society.
And so her journey continues. Here’s to all of us living the dream. No matter what that dream is.
